Pablo Lanouguere, a renowned Argentine musician and composer, resides in New York City. As a sought-after artist, he frequently collaborates with esteemed tango, jazz, Latin-jazz, swing, salsa, classical, and world music ensembles. His repertoire includes performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The National Sawdust, Zinc Bar, Colden Auditorium, LeFrak Concert Hall, SOB's, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, and The Django, among others. He performed at SFJAZZ in November 2025 and returns there in December 2026 with the Queens Cartoonists.

Over the past several years, Mr. Lanouguere has collaborated with notable artists including Raul Jaurena, Fernando Otero, Daniel Binelli & Astoria Tango Orchestra, Adam Tully, Tipica Messiez, The Queens Cartoonists, Palaver Strings, Loic Da Silva, and Leonardo Suarez Paz. Furthermore, he has embarked on extensive tours throughout the United States with various American and Argentine musical groups.

Since 2016, Mr. Lanouguere has been a founding member of Abaddon, a traditional tango sextet based in New York City. Since 2019, he has led the “Pablo Lanouguere Quintet,” which he released his debut album as a bandleader titled “Eclectico” (Piano Piano Records).

He plays tango regularly at Faena Hotel NYC with Orquesta La Boca. He also performs a live-looping solo act, building a full band live on bass with Ableton Live, for weddings and private and corporate events.

In 2021, Mr. Lanouguere received a grant from the Café Royal Cultural Foundation to fully produce his second album, titled “Altar.” Additionally, he was awarded a grant from the NYFA City Artists Corps to produce and perform a show with his quintet in New York City.

He has also participated in theater productions, including Five Senses (Tango Show, 2015, Thalia Spanish Theater), Macbeth (Shakespeare Play, 2015, Fox Wolf Production), Afrotango (Musical, 2016, Thalia Spanish Theater), Tangomenaje (Tango Show, 2017, Thalia Spanish Theater), Tango + Tango (Tango Show, 2018, Thalia Spanish Theater), Cinderella Tanguera (2019 & 2020, Teatro SEA), Tango Gotham (2021, Thalia Spanish Theater), and Viva El Tango (2022, Thalia Spanish Theater).

He has studied with Nestor Ibarra (Harmony and Composition), Mariano Otero, Gustavo Giles, Guillermo Delgado, Alejandro Herrera (Electric Bass), Daniel Falasca, and Pedro Giraudo (Double Bass). Additionally, he holds a Degree in Jazz Music from the Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has completed his master's degree in jazz performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, CUNY. He is faculty of the SF Tango Workshop.

As a session musician, he played bass on “Crimson Sky” from Helluva Boss Season 3 (Prime Video), recorded in his home studio.
